This study compares the effectiveness of traditional classroom teaching and YouTube video instruction in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and retention. Education today is undergoing rapid transformation with the integration of technology. Traditional classroom teaching remains the most widely used method, offering real-time interaction, immediate feedback, and structured learning. Meanwhile, YouTube video instruction has emerged as a popular tool for self-paced, flexible, and visual learning. This study examines how well YouTube videos and conventional classroom instruction compare in terms of improving student comprehension. The results lend credence to the idea of blended learning, which combines the advantages of digital and traditional approaches to raise student engagement and academic performance. Traditional classroom instruction continues to play a vital role in providing structured learning, immediate feedback, and direct teacher–student interaction, which contribute to better conceptual clarity. On the other hand, YouTube-based learning offers flexibility, accessibility, and visual engagement, allowing students to revisit content at their own pace, which enhances satisfaction and motivation.
