Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the publication output of the "Journal Annals of Agricultural Science" from 2011 to 2023. The analysis is grounded in data obtained from the online platform of the journal. The main objective is to assess the research contributions made by the journal in question. Through this examination, the authors seek to understand the publication trends within the domain of agricultural science and its associated fields. The analysis includes the total number of articles published, their distribution by year, citation counts, authorship patterns, and identifies the leading contributors. Additionally, the study presents the year-wise h-index of the journal. Findings indicate that the journal has published a total of 367 research articles, which have garnered 37,448 citations, resulting in an h-index of 48. The average number of citations per article stands at 7.4, and the journal's impact factor for 2023 is recorded at 3.5, categorizing it within the first quartile (Q1). The majority of contributions originated from Egypt. Furthermore, the study employs various methods to analyze the frequency of contributions from authors in agricultural science and related disciplines.
