The present study aims to impact of digital stress on digital well-being among late adolescents. The increasing reliance on digital technologies has significantly influenced the daily lives and psychological well-being of late adolescents. While digital platforms offer numerous benefits such as improved communication, access to information, and educational support, excessive and unmanaged digital use can lead to digital stress, adversely affecting digital well-being. A quantitative research design was adopted for the study. The sample consisted of 120 late adolescents aged 17 to 21 years, selected through a convenience sampling method from educational institutions. Data were collected using standardized tools measuring digital stress and digital well-being. The statistical tools will be used such as Independent samples t-test, ANOVA, Correlation analysis and regression analysis are to be used in the present study. The findings of the study revealed that a considerable proportion of late adolescents experienced moderate to high levels of digital stress, primarily due to prolonged screen time, academic dependence on digital platforms, social media engagement, and constant online connectivity. Statistical analysis indicated a significant negative relationship between digital stress and digital well-being, demonstrating that higher levels of digital stress were associated with lower levels of digital well-being. Adolescents who reported lower digital stress levels exhibited healthier digital habits, better emotional regulation, and higher overall digital well-being. The results of the study highlight the importance of promoting awareness regarding healthy and balanced digital usage among late adolescents. Educational institutions, parents, and mental health professionals should implement interventions such as digital literacy programs, screen-time management strategies, and mindfulness-based approaches to reduce digital stress and enhance digital well-being. The study contributes to the growing body of research on digital mental health and provides valuable insights for developing preventive strategies aimed at fostering positive digital engagement among late adolescents.
